The speed at which the Coronavirus outbreak has spread across the world has been alarming, and no less so in the world of dentistry where advice for patient and staff safety has been changing daily. As of 25th March all dental practices in England are closed as part of the national effort to control spread of the virus. Having anticipated this we have been working to complete all urgent work so that our patients will be comfortable over whatever time period the shutdown will last.
Assuming that this will last at least several weeks there are inevitably going to be instances where our patients experience dental pain of are concerned regarding their dental health. In order to prevent us having to travel to the practice we are asking that contact be made through our e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org which we will check regularly each day. If you are unable to use e-mail then please call us on 01736 369359 and leave a message – we will answer but current advice on avoiding travel means that there may be some delay.
We are currently advised that any emergency dental care will be limited to advice and possibly antibiotics in order to limit any chance of coronavirus cross infection. We are awaiting information regarding the availability of more complex dental care which is planned to be carried out in designated clinics, but as yet these are not operational and their location is unknown.
Please be assured that the wellbeing and dental health of our patients is our paramount concern and we will do all we can to support you during the current situation. If you need help, advice or maybe just someone to talk to then e-mail or call us and we’ll make sure a member of our team is there to help you out.
