We are now into our fifth week of a nationwide shutdown of dental practices and it feels like a good time to say thank you to all of our patients.
The practice is still busy every day triaging calls from patients, offering advice, remote dental consultations and treatment options where necessary. Throughout this period there has been overwhelming support from everybody who has needed our services during the current situation which, although very inconvenient for anybody requiring dental treatment, has been necessary in order to halt the spread of coronavirus.
A special thank you goes out to all of our BayDental Members who spread the cost of their dentistry over the year and benefit from regular preventive dental care, discounts on dental services and a generous emergency insurance package. This has proved to be a time where the advantages of preventive dentistry have really been beneficial and where insurance for the usually rare instances of emergency and out-of-hours telephone consultations has been essential. We will be prioritising all those who have paid in advance for their dentistry and who are overdue for their preventive dental care appointments once we are able to resume these services.
We are hoping that the current delay in providing dental health examinations and dental hygiene appointments will not adversely affect any of our patients in the long term and as soon as we are able we will be looking to add as many clinics as are necessary to ensure that we reduce the backlog as quickly as possible.
In the meantime please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about your dental health. We are available every day (including weekends) to offer our expertise and reassurance and to keep you dentally healthy until we are able to offer normal dental services once more.
